Live Cricket Score Of India Vs Sri Lanka Icc Champions Trophy 2017
The returning Mathews calls it right and on expected lines, opts to bowl first under overcast conditions on this fresh wicket. India will have their task cut out initially. They have made no changes to their winning combination but Sri Lanka have made three. Apart from Mathews, they have also included Thisara Perera and Danushka Gunathilaka in their playing XI.

Sri Lanka (Playing XI): Niroshan Dickwella(w), Danushka Gunathilaka, Kusal Mendis, Angelo Mathews(c), Dinesh Chandimal, Kusal Perera, Asela Gunaratne, Thisara Perera, Suranga Lakmal, Lasith Malinga, Nuwan Pradeep

India (Playing XI): Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli(c), Yuvraj Singh, Hardik Pandya, MS Dhoni(w), Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah

Judging by the update we received from our correspondent Ganesh Chandrasekaran at the venue, it looks like India might play the same XI. That would mean the likes of Ashwin and Shami will have to warm the benches again. Ahead of the game, skipper Virat Kohli did justify their exclusion from the playing XI.

Build up:

Group B's outcome looked certain before the tournament began. India and South Africa were prime favourites to go through and they lived up to that billing by laying down an early marker in their opening fixtures. While India blanked Pakistan, South Africa registered a comfortable win over Sri Lanka. But now, last night's result has thrown up different possibilities to spice up the group. South Africa's loss to Pakistan has opened up the door for the Asian giants and if Sri Lanka can take inspiration from that result to revive their own campaign, then we will have a cracking last round lined up.

India will be wary of the threat and are expected not to slip up though, especially with Sri Lanka having certain concerns. Skipper Angelo Mathews, who missed the first game, is all set to return to bolster their batting lineup, but he is still not fit enough to bowl. Upul Tharanga has been handed a two-game ban for slow over-rate and to make matters worse, they have lost Chamara Kapugedera to an injury. Can they pull themselves up and put them in contention for a last-four spot? Or will India edge closer to the semifinal? The rain could have a massive say once again on the outcome as mentioned in our preview. Welcome to our live blog for this vital clash.
